Team Onsites
- Remote work is great until it isn't. Learning slows. Async hits its limits. Direct feedback gets diluted. Complex technical decisions stall in Slack threads.
- Our team onsites are designed to be a “turbo-charged” week in the office. They are designed to support regular ongoing commitments.
- Onsites reset our communication velocity, building trust and shared context that makes everything else work. These are our performance boosters: the most productive weeks of the quarter.
The Cadence
Every team meets for a week long onsite every 3-6 months.
Lock in dates and locations 2 months ahead. No exceptions.
The Format
Sunday 7pm → Friday 5pm
- Sunday: Arrive by 7pm. Welcome dinner.
- Monday Kickoff: State of the union. Where we are, where we're going.
- Monday-Friday: Execute your team's existing bimonthly commitments together. No special projects. No side quests. Just your regular work, accelerated by being in person.
- Mid-week: Organized Team Event.
- Friday: Show-and-Tell at 4 pm - demo anything you shipped this week. Wrap by 5pm. Leave that night or Saturday morning.
The reality: This is your regular work in a shared office that happens to be in a cool location. Not a vacation, not a celebration. You're shipping your existing commitments with your team's full energy.
The space: If the location sucks for work, we book a proper workspace. No compromises on productivity.
