• First off - read our Our Values - @Klaus and I wrote them for a reason…it’s an insight into how we operate and we think Filmhub should be built.
  • I like to challenge thinking. When I present a contrary opinion, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it's the rule or what I believe; it means I’m challenging the idea/concept and want to push us further.
  • I want you to be better than me. I love learning and getting pushed. Take the lead, learn, and show me how to do something better.
  • I’m getting better at actively engaging in conflict and providing feedback. I would love your feedback. Feel free to request feedback from me anytime if you feel you are not getting enough. Read Connect to understand how I approach conflict/feedback more.
  • I think out loud a lot, which sometimes confuses people. If you need clarification or are unsure exactly what I mean or want, just ask.
  • Go slow to go fast. You’ll hear me say this frequently. I used to be a horribly impatient person (I now maraud as a patient person…occasionally). When I say this, it’s important to learn/evaluate, and think before pushing forward. You’ll move much faster later in these instances.
  • I love it when people take ownership and just get something done.
  • I believe in doing things well and thoroughly, but that doesn’t necessarily mean super deep work; that can happen over time. Keep it simple and stupid…at first.
  • The best systems and processes could be handed off to a robot, and it would understand what to do.
  • You may need to manage up. Given the complexity of this business, I get pulled in 1000 ways to help, and I might miss what you need. I try to keep a sound tracking system of what’s required, but it fails.
  • I live by the saying that any company should be ready to buy and sell at any time. This means all company documents, processes, etc., must be in order.
